Up for sale is my 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62. It starts, runs and drives, and recently passed California smog. A current, valid smog certificate is included for the buyer.
Please keep in mind that this is a project FJ62, not a restored or fully sorted daily driver, and it will need mechanical and body work. Recent work includes an oil change, tune-up (spark plugs, fuel and air filters), coolant-temperature sensor/connector work, O2 sensor replacement and smog-readiness work. It runs well enough to pass emissions, but further maintenance, diagnostics and repairs will be needed before it is fully sorted.
From what I can tell, the frame, floor pans and rockers appear solid. This is based strictly on their visual appearance, however, and no professional structural inspection or certification is implied. There is visible rust/corrosion on the rear quarter panel, portions of the rear roof and upper door/weatherstrip areas, along the inside bottom edges of most doors, and at the bottom of the tailgate. The truck also has aged/faded paint, clear-coat wear, dents, scratches and cosmetic damage to the driver's door and rear quarter panel. The windshield has a small rock chip that appears to have been previously repaired, and there's also a small tear in the headliner.
The vehicle is being sold as True Mileage Unknown (TMU), as the odometer reading may not reflect its actual lifetime mileage.
I've tried to represent the vehicle and its problem areas as honestly as possible in the photos, which should be considered part of the description. Additional photos of specific areas are available upon request.
